Utah CPA CPE requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Utah, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a biannual basis.

Utah CPA CPE Requirements

In Utah, CPAs need to accumulate 80 hours of continuing education by the end of every 2-year reporting period, which ends on December 31 of odd-numbered years. All CPE credits must be reported to the state board by January 31 of the following year.

Specific Requirements

  • Carry forwards are allowed to next reporting year, up to 40 CPE hours
  • At least 3 hours in ethics
  • 1 hour on the Utah Certified Public Accountant Licensing Act
