Oregon CPA CPE requirements

To maintain an active CPA license in Oregon, certified public accountants have to fulfill the CPE requirement on a biannual basis.

Oregon CPA CPE Requirements

The CPE credits have to be accumulated and 80 hours of continuing education are due at the time of license renewal which is done every 2 years.

Specific Requirements

The following additional requirements may be required depending on job nature:

  • At least 24 hours of CPE per year

Rules on CPE ethics course:

  • For new licensee (first renewal), must go through a board-registered ethics course. Please click on the link below (CPE rule) for a list of course sponsors.
  • At least 4 hours in ethics in each reporting period
  • If the CPA is licensed or resides in another jurisdiction, OR state board allows this CPA to follow the CPE ethics rule in that jurisdiction as long as a specific ethics course is required.
