Oregon CPA CPE requirements

To maintain an active CPA license in Oregon, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a biannual basis.

Oregon CPA CPE Requirements

In Oregon, CPAs need 80 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Furthermore, CPAs must report their credits at the time of license renewal, which also occurs every 2 years.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 24 hours of CPE per year
  • At least 4 hours in Oregon-specific ethics in each reporting period
  • Maximum of 16 hours of non-technical CPE
  • Up to 20 hours can be carried forward to the next reporting period
  • Self-study courses must be from a sponsor included in NASBA’s National Registry of CPE Sponsors
  • Maximum of 10% (8 hours) for nano learning courses
  • Maximum of 50% (combined) for teaching, speaking, and authoring published books and articles
