Georgia cpa cpe requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Georgia, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a biennial basis.

Georgia CPA CPE Requirements

Within the 2-year reporting period, CPAs registered in Georgia should fulfill at least 80 hours of accounting continuing education.

Specific Requirements

In each reporting period:

  • At least 16 hours of accounting and/or auditing
  • At least 20 hours each year
  • Can carry forward 15 non-accounting/auditing CPE hours to the next reporting period
  • Licensees who are 70 years old or above are not required to fulfill the CPE requirements
