Delaware CPA CPE Requirements and Courses

Delaware CPA CPE requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Delaware, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a biennial basis.

Here is a summary for your reference:

Delaware CPA CPE Requirements

CPE credits have to be accumulated during a 2-year reporting period, which ends on June 30 of odd years (e.g. 2023, 2025).

Within these 2 years, the CPAs registered in Delaware should fulfill at least 80 hours of accounting continuing education.

Specific Requirements

In each reporting period:

  • At least 8 hours of accounting and/or auditing
  • At least 8 hours of taxation
  • At least 4 hours in a Board-approved Delaware-specific ethics course
  • Plus, at least 20 hours of CPE per year
