Mississippi CPA CPE requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Mississippi, certified public accountants have to fulfill the CPE requirement on a triennial basis.

Mississippi CPA CPE Requirements

The CPE credits have to be accumulated and 120 hours of continuing education are due at the time of license renewal (June 30) which is done every 3 years.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 40 hours per year
  • At least 4 hours in board-approved ethics course
  • Carry forward to next year within the same reporting period is allowed  up to 20 hours
  • There is no specific rule on CPE subject (other than the ethics course), but the State Board strong encourages the licensee to take subjects relevant to their fields of profession.
