Hawaii CPA CPE requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Hawaii, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a biennial basis.

Here is a summary for your reference:

Hawaii CPA CPE Requirements

CPE credits have to be accumulated during a 2-year reporting period, which ends on December 31.

Within these 2 years, CPAs registered in Hawaii should fulfill at least 80 hours of accounting continuing education.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 4 hours of professional conduct and ethics in each reporting period
  • Licensee can carry over excess CPE hours (up to 40 hours) to the next reporting period
