Arkansas CPA CPE Requirements

CPE credits have to be accumulated annually by  December 31st, and the reporting is done every 3 years.

Please note that a renewal form will be mailed to your address at least 30 days before the expiration. You’ve got to remember the renewal because there is no grace period to practice on an expired license.

Within the reporting period, CPAs registered in Arkansas should fulfill at least 120 hours of accounting continuing education.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 4 hours of Accounting Professional Conduct and Ethics during the 3-year period. Furthermore, at least 1 of those 4 hours must be the Arkansas State Board of Accountancy Laws and Rules course.
  • At least 8 hours per year (or 24 hours in a 3-year period) of group study courses
  • If you’re engaged in public accountancy, you need at least 16 hours per year (or 48 hours in a 3-year period) in accounting/attestation, accounting ethics, or taxation
  • If you’re not engaged in public accountancy, you need at least 8 hours per year (or 24 hours in a 3-year period) in accounting/attestation, accounting ethics, or taxation
  • If you’re engaged in attest/compilations, you need at least 8 hours per year (or 24 hours in a 3-year period) in accounting/attestation
  • Self-study CPE courses must be included on NASBA’s National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
