Wyoming CPA CPE Requirements and Courses

To maintain an active CPA license in Wyoming, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement over a rolling 3-year period.

Wyoming CPA CPE Requirements

In Wyoming, CPAs need 120 hours of continuing education every 3 years. Furthermore, CPAs must report their credits at the time of license renewal, which also occurs every 3 years by June 30.

Specific Requirements

• 4 hours of state-specific ethics
• At least 80 hours of Code A (i.e. technical) subjects; not more than 40 Code B (i.e. non-technical) subjects
• 66% of technical hours must be related to your field of business
• A maximum of 10 credits per year from nano learning, which must be from sponsors on NASBA’s National Registry of CPE Sponsors
• No more than 12 hours per reporting period for independent study
• There are some restrictions if you plan to count your role as an instructor, presenter, or author as CPE requirement. Please refer to the CPE info link below for details.
