To maintain an active CPA license in Wyoming, certified public accountants have to fulfill the CPE requirement over a rolling 3-year period.

Wyoming CPA CPE Requirements

CPE is reported annually at the time of certificate renewal. Compliance is based on a 3-year rolling period and 120 CPE hours are required.

Specific Requirements

  • 4 hours of state-specific ethics
  • At least 80 hours of Code A (i.e. technical) subjects; not more than 40 Code B (i.e. non-technical) subjects
  • No more than 12 hours of independent study, but there is no limit on self-study
  • There are some restrictions if you plan to count your role as an instructor, presenter or author as CPE requirement. Please refer to the CPE info link below for details.
