Hawaii CPA CPE requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Hawaii, certified public accountants have to fulfill the CPE requirement on a biennial basis.

Hawaii CPA CPE Requirements

The CPE credits have to be accumulated during a reporting period, which ends on Dec 31.

Within these 2 years, the CPAs registered in Hawaii should fulfill at least 80 hours of accounting continuing education.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 4 hours of professional conduct and ethics in each reporting period
  • Licensee can carry over excess CPE hours (up to40 hours) to the next reporting period
