ACEI

The Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute (ACEI) evaluates the academic and professional documents of individuals who have studied outside the United States and recommends the academic equivalence in terms of studies completed at regionally accredited institutions in the US.

ACEI is a Charter and Endorsed member of the Association of International Credential Evaluators, AICE.

Cons

  • Only a handful of state board recognize ACEI.
  • Standard service to State board other than California relatively expensive at $180.

Submission Details

In general, ACEI requires official document sent directly by the issuing institution, but the agency understands it could be difficult for candidates from certain countries. Please contact ACEI to see if you are eligible to waive this requirement.

Depending on the circumstances ACEI may allow you to send the original transcripts/marksheets/ yourself, or even allow attested certified true copies prepared by the issuing institution or legal official, e.g. attorney, embassy or consular official.

 Turnaround Time

  • At least 10-15 business days
  • 1-business-day, 3-business-day and 5-business-day rush services are available

Pricing

  • For California Board of Accountancy: $150
  • For other boards of Accountancy: $180
  • Rush service: ranges from $150-250 in addition to the standard fee

Payment Method

Personal check, cashiers check, money order, credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa) and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard) are accepted.

Please note:

  • Personal check is not acceptable for rush service evaluations
  • Checks must be drawn in US dollars and on a US bank
  • Overseas/ International payments must be in U.S. dollars and drawn on a United States bank
  • All credit card payments will be assessed a 3% fee per transaction
