Oklahoma CPA CPE requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Oklahoma, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a triennial basis.

Oklahoma CPA CPE Requirements

In Oklahoma, CPAs need 120 hours of continuing education every 3 years. Furthermore, CPAs must report their credits at the time of license renewal, which also occurs every 3 years.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 40 hours of CPE per year
  • At least 4 hours in ethics in each reporting period

For non-public accountants (those working in the industry), there are specific requirements, too:

  • At least 72 hours must be in subjects related to public accounting
  • At least 8 hours per year (i.e. 24 per 3-year period) in accounting, assurance, or taxation
