Maryland CPA CPE Requirements and Courses

Maryland CPA cpe requirementsTo maintain an active CPA license in Maryland, certified public accountants have to fulfill a CPE requirement on a biannual basis.

Here is a summary for your reference:

Maryland CPA CPE Requirements

In Maryland, CPAs need to accumulate 80 hours of continuing education every 2 years and report them at the time of license renewal.

Specific Requirements

  • At least 4 hours of ethics courses.
  • CPE credit hours (other than those on ethics) can be carried forward to the next reporting period.
  • For self-study courses, CPAs must take an exam and receive a grade in order to have those courses counted for valid CPE hours.
