Oh that is frustrating isn’t it… I’d recommend that you take a look at this page and follow the suggestions there. For the e-course, sorry I don’t have it in PDF format, but you can sign up and print out the email everyday for 10 days. The book is in PDF format but is currently not available… but if you really want to get it (and don’t mind it doesn’t talk abou 2011 exam format) you can get it here.

Hi Stephanie, I just discovered your website and I find your tips great! I was looking for tips regarding the communication but mostly for the research part of the simulations.

I am currently studying for FAR and was planning to take it this window Nov-30 but after trying to get through the material with Yaeger which I am happy with. I got stuck with bonds, Stockholder’s equity, Earnings per shares and Leases feel that I need more time to prepare better. I am very upset because I do feel lost sometimes and want to give up:-(. I would like your opinion if I should prospone the exam until Jan-2011.

I hear you… if so I would suggest that you defer the exam till 2011. No need to stress yourself like this!
Just make sure you get the IFRS supplement from Yaeger for the Jan 2011 exam.
I understand that the examiners are keeping the pass rate the same as before. Which means that in case the exam gets any more difficult (though not their intention, but they can’t control it given it’s the first month) it is still fair because the passing rate is kept the same. Stephanie

I HAVE NO CLUE WHERE TO START!! I am happy I stumbled across your website because I definitely need some advice. I’ve been doing accounting for about 16 years and I do not have my CPA license…I KNOW!!! No need to rip me apart. The important thing is that I’m doing it now. I know a live course would not work for me. So I am guessing I need a cross between a book review and online software. Any direct suggestions for someone in my position? Thank you!
