Does CMA qualify for the educational requirements?
Simple answer is – no, I don’t think so.
While some of the coursework done towards CMA *may* be useful for fulfilling the educational requirement, the CMA qualification itself does not help.
Conspiracy theory: Possibly because CPA and CMA are competitors?

I know this is a CPA website, but I’m curious, do you have any thoughts on the CMA?
Hi Darren, I have to say I am not that familiar with CMA, but from what I know it is more catered to accountants in the corporate world, especially for those whose work touches finance and strategic planning.
It has a shorter history and in my opinion at least — less recognizable in the world of finance and accounting.
